Drivers have experienced delays near a busy Kent crossing due to a closure.
Motorists heading toward the Isle of Sheppey faced disruption and heavy traffic due to an emergency closure on the A249 at the weekend.
The Sheppey-bound carriageway of the Sheppey Crossing was forced to shut following the discovery of a bridge joint fault.
The road was closed from the B2005 at Iwade, for the necessary repairs to be completed. National Highways contractors are on the scene and works are underway.
Drivers have been advised that the closure is likely to remain in effect "for some time". Traffic is being diverted via the Kingsferry Bridge.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: "There are delays of 60 minutes and six miles of congestion on the approach. There is no estimated time for reopening at this stage."
