George and the Drag Queen

With three actors who play multiple characters, a revolving set and original music, this show takes you on an unlikely, funny and poignant journey.

First aiders Maddy and George are working at the local village fete. They are joined by Elias, a Lebanese refugee and Drag Queen.
The play combines humour, warmth and historical fantasy to expose the complexities of the modern debates around migration, gender identity, and community and how people can get caught between compassion and prejudice, while grasping for understanding and connection.

It's been described as "outstanding", "powerful" and "brilliantly acted" and will make you laugh and cry!

The show will be performed in Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells and at ARK, Cliftonville as part of the national tour.

This show is part of the national Create Tour Connect project bringing exciting new shows to local communities.
